We decided it was time for some updated shots...little did we know how challenging family pictures with a 17 month old could be! Quinn was not at her best (read: easiest) that morning, but we got some cute stuff. (You can see a few shots here.)
As soon as Jeff left, the major smiles came out (go figure) and I captured these two shots:

After last year's card, I wasn't sure what to do this year.
I decided we should include Scout (and not just have a tiny picture of her on the back). Then I thought some kind of Christmas related photo would be fun.
Here are a few of the shots (and outtakes) from our Christmas card photo shoot adventure. I must say, the 7 year old dog was easier to work with than the 17 month old child. :)

I have to admit, finally getting a phone with a decent camera has made me a little bit of a lazy photographer. I'm working on it, I promise.

Before Quinn arrived, we heard lots of people's opinions about how our view of our dog would change. Some people said she would become a hassle, but others raved about how much their children adored their pets. While Scout can be a bit hyper at times, she is absolutely wonderful with Quinn and I cannot imagine life without our 2 favorite girls. I posted pictures of them together a few months ago, but now that Quinn is walking around it is even more fun to watch them together. Scout lets Quinn climb all over her, ride her on a horse, and on more than one occasion I've had to stop Quinn from trying to stand on top of her.

Quinn is absolutely in love with her dog. Big dog Scout. She's been trying really hard to say Scout's name (it sounds something like sow). Her face will absolutely light up every time Scout comes in the room. As you can see from the pictures below, Scout let's Quinn climb all over her.
