I'm really liking the retro look for photos right now.

L to R: Quinn, me, Dana, Ben, Laura (missing are Dana's kids- Taylor and Jake and Laura's daughter Sydney.  Both girls are in pictures below, but I somehow left Carolina without pictures of Jake.  Booo!)

We made the trip up to Carolina to celebrate the 1st birthday of a very special little guy.

Could he be any cuter?  Ben was born very early and spent almost a month in the special care nursery before going home with his wonderful family (you can read more about it here).  Needless to say this was an extra special first birthday because of all of those scary and difficult times.  A year later he is an amazing little guy with the sweetest smile.  We really enjoyed spending his big birthday with his family and friends.
